ALL BLACK EVERYTHING

Black just happens to be that one color  in which I would own or buy anything ! My obsession with black and it's influence on my style is such that it's almost gothic but my love for the preppy, clean, chic and sometimes rocker look  keeps the balance! This jumper is custom made  for my student fellowship group and this particular one happens to belong to my friend. When I was getting ready at hers yesterday morning and I asked for a jumper, she handed me this one and I  thought it was soo cool that I kept it on in favor of my camo top, wearing it over leather-look pants and this ankle wedged boots, all in black!  I felt  like a rock star and all I could think was.... ALL BLACK EVERYTHING!

AN INTERN'S DIARY

Hello everyone! Sometime last month when I did the post on the Basket dress, I talked about getting to try on a number of outfits for fashion shows during my fashion internship this summer at House of Marie and today, I would like to share some of those pictures with you. It so happened that on all four occasions, a UK size 10 female was needed and there I was prancing around the atelier. For obvious height challenges I had to stand on a stool, to compensate for the length and as a gauge for what the outfits, would look like {very roughly} on a much taller model. I still can't decide on a favorite but all four pieces have a special place in my heart and intern diary.

TARTAN REVAMPED

 It's no secret that Tartan is one of the biggest trends this season but it's a trend I haven't always been a fan of ! So when tartan made a comeback this season, I wasn't exactly enthused but it's safe to say I've done a complete 180 and tartan wearers have made a believer out of me. I've enjoyed a lot of the takes on tartan be it official ad campaigns by fashion houses,tartan styling by fashion bloggers or everyday street style takes on tartan! There has been a big drift  from the boring, lackluster ways tartan had been worn in previous seasons to a fresh, funky, edgy and even chic take this season. From official ad campaigns by Marks and Spencer and Gucci, to Rita Ora and Miranda kerr's street spin on tartan, it's safe to say Tartan is cooler than ever!

ENDLESS AUTUMN DAYS

Hello everyone! It's been sometime now since my last post and it almost feels weird getting back to blogging. I guess it also means I've finally found some calm and normalcy. It's been such a hectic month travelling back and moving into a new place. A daunting process which hasn't be made easier by my series of unfortunate events horror story! It started to feel like those dreadful autumn days would never end! Thankfully that's largely over and it's nice to finally get back to one thing that drive me crazy but puts a smile on my face.
