Good evening guys. So since I was M.I.A until the end of the SS16 Fashion Week, it's time to play catch up. First up, Marchesa.
It's safe to say Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig have outdone themselves this season. One of the only runways on which there wasn't a single thing I didn't want to own, Marchesa was every bit about glamour across all moods this season.
From black to bright fuchsia and delightful ombre dresses with ruffles and gorgeous tulle, the fashion house was all romance and sophistication.
The designers were detailed and deliberate in their use of feathery applique on soft and delicate sea toned nets and organzas, creating a whimsical effect, an effect artfully tampered by the darker and more provocative nude and lacey pieces.
Georgina and Keren's SS16 Collection appealed to every type of glamour known to womankind. From the villainous and the provocateur, to the soft and innocent fairy tale lover and the ostentatious pop princess inbetween.
Making room for some history, the designers reached back in time in their use of corsetry to honour their "Botanical menagerie of caged birds" theme.
The Marchesa SS16 Collection was a botanical fairytale of glamour.
Thank you all for stopping by....xxx
