KIM SHUI

Kim Shui is a US born, Italian bred, parsons and Central Saint Martins trained fashion designer. She was recently just picked up by Not just a label . Her aesthetic is very bold and heavily futuristic. I particulary love the dominance of metallics in this particular pieces from her shoot with Sicky magazine that I am going to be sharing with you. There is an unmistaken audaciousness and practised artistry to her sculptural designs that makes her without a doubt a designer to watch. ABSTRACT PRINTS & CO-ORDS

I've been a long time advocate of pairing contrasting prints to create a look that is often quirky, fun and in this case chic. For this particular print mix, I was inspired by the concept of co-ord pieces and I was looking to create a less chaotic print pairing that closely resembled a co-rd set and this abstract print shorts and brushstroke top were a perfect mismatch to achieve my vision. The shots in front of the little garden and green plants, were exactly the kind of color backdrop I needed, to compliment this white and black ensemble and offset my turquoise purse as well as the neon details on my white shoes to pull the whole concept off and the look together.

Pink and Purple Hues : Reconnecting with my Inner Child

There's something about the summer air that just makes me want to be a little girl again and today's look was very much about connecting with my inner child. I normally wouldn't dare to wear this much colour but summer only comes around, a couple weeks a year in England, so what the heck! This floral print babydoll dress was the perfect ode to summer time girlhood and the pink messenger bag and purple Steve Madden sandals kept the palette very colorful, super girly and playful. One major summer style tip from me, would be to have as much fun as possible with your wardrobe, because summer is one of the few acceptable times of the year, to let that little girl out and go colour crazy! Good evening everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! For today's fashion fix, I decided to share some shoe magic from Italian high fashion brand Aquazzura. Creative director of Aquazzura, Edgardo Ossorio brings the color spectrum  and reptile spirit alive in his ad campaign for his Sprimg/Summer 2014 collection. The collection features an explosive range of colours both in blocks and beautiful reptile prints and yet manages to not neglect the ladies, who are none too keen on coloured shoes and bold prints.
