SUMMER'S OVER

Good evening everyone. It's been over a week since my last post and that's because I've been soo busy with work that I haven't had time for photo shoots or write ups and I have to say I've kinda missed the blogosphere these last 10 days. Anyway, to the look of the day, the weather has gone back to being cold, wet and grey, and it is such a depressing way to end what's been a lovely summer in London. However one of the few perks of Autumn, is that I get to pull out some of my favourite pieces in heavier fabrics,  like this cowl neck Zara jumper, that has had to take a hiatus over the summer holidays. CHANDELIERS

A chandelier is one piece of decor in any house, that quite easily reflects the design concept and many times take center stage in dictating the decor style of a house. Chandeliers are such beautiful masterpieces and are easily my favorite piece of interior decor. One of the many great things about Chandeliers is that they do not have to be restrictive. There are a range of chandelier styles from more rustic desings, to contemporary box shaped chandeliers and of course the classic over the top crystal drop chandeliers.

T-SHIRT DRESSES

One of  my favorite trends has to be the T-shirt dress. Everyone from high street retailers like Zara and River Island to some of our favorite high fashion brands like Kenzo got in on the trend this summer. They are fairly easy to wear and style and the printed T-shirt dresses are some of my favorites because they tend to have a lot more character to them and allow for a more diverse range of styling options.

THE SIMPLE THINGS

There are just those days where all you really want to have for lunch is a delicious slice of pizza, days were nothing but the really simple things will do. Those moments when you crave the much simpler and busy ambiance of a restaurant like Pizza Express ,where you can just lay back and enjoy what feels like a little slice of a simple yet beautiful Italy. This was my train of thoughts as I sat across the table at Pizza Express in King's Cross with Adim, catching up and laughing over pizza, while enjoying the ocassional banter with the really cool and funny chefs in the open plan kitchen right next to our table. The calm and simplicity of the moment, amidst all the bustling just reminded me that the simple things, are all we really need sometimes!

PRINTS & VIBRANT COLORS

Good evening everyone. I hope you've all been having a wonderful week thus far!  I've been a little color and print crazy for a couple weeks now and this look much like the last couple looks, was very much a product of that craze. I'm all about mixing prints and complementing them with super bright colors to create that quintessential summer look and pairing these tortoise shell sunnies with this pink and grey reptile print dress, accessorised with pink lipstick and my favorite turquoise clutch created the perfect summer look. I couldn't decide if i prefered the subtlety of  the black flats to the explosive effect of these orange jelly slidders. so i decided to shoot with both footwears. Which do you prefer?

JULY STREETSTYLE : BLACK & WHITE SUMMER

Happy new month everyone! We are back to our usual  monthly streetstyle posts and black and white appears to be taking centre stage. While i was editing this post, i noticed that every single one of these ladies was wearing black and white. It was a completely unintentional thing and the pictures were taken in completely different cities but i love the fact that black and white is a somewhat prominent color palette this summer. It's highlighted less dull ways to wear both colours and more importantly, it means we don't have to throwout our autumn/winter purchases when summer comes around next year,we can simply recycle them to make them more summer friendly.
