MEZZANINE

Good evening everyone, for the past couple weeks, I've been searching online for potential appartments styles and i have viewed a significant number of studio appartments and realized that some of my favorite studio designs featured mezzanines. This realization inspired the decision to dedicate this next post on interior design to mezzanines. For those of you who don't know, a mezzanine is a floor inbetween the main floors of a building, which more often than not, houses the bedroom and on ocassion the dinning area or other parts of the appartment. Mezzanines are most commonly featured in studio and loft appartments and is a contemporary, open plan design style that aslo happens to be great for maximizing space in a very stylish manner. Mezzanines also have the added advantage of creating an illusion of privacy (akin to that of one bedroom appartments) in studio appartments largely, because of  it's demarcation of the bedroom from other parts of the appartment. FORMAL OCCASIONS : TUXEDO PANTS & VICTORIAN SLEEVES

Good evening everyone. My style update today is on my look to one of my favorite people in the world's graduation ceremony. Much like all graduation ceremonies, it was a formal affair and I decided to pull together a basic but fashion forward formal ensenmble, with some verve! I opted for this off-white blouse with victorian style sleeves, that gave the ensemble a certain flair, especially paired with a pair of black tuxedo pants which are a nice little deviation from your basic black pants. I kept the accessorising to a minimum with these ruby swarovski crystal earrings and a couple of my favorite dainty bracelets.

CHOAPHRAYA (THAI CUISINE)

 Good evening everyone. I would like to start by apologizing for my brief hiatus, It's been one of those weeks where life and the editorial process get in the way. Today's post is about one of my most frequented restuarants Chaophraya. Chaophraya is a Thai restaurant located in the heart of Birmingham city centre. My friend and I happened upon it about 2 years ago while we were still studying in Birmingham and it became our go to spot for Thai cuisine. The restaurant is an appropriate blend of elegant and casual, the interior design and lighting provide a much needed elegance, while the simplicity of the table setting gives a more casual, relaxing character to the restaurant.

Dinner is made in an open plan kitchen and is served by a wonderful and very helpful asian staff in keeping, with the restuarants oriental cuisine and theme. Chaophraya offers lovely thai food and a  relaxing dinning experience on a budget and is perfect for the individual, trying to get away from the rowdiness of a buffet or fast food setting but on a budget. BLUE SKIES, MESH TOP & SUMMER SHORTS.

Good evening everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful week and are set for an even better weekend! One of the best things about summer, is being able to dress down and that for me means stepping into shorts for pretty much everything from strolls to shopping trips. For today's look, I paired a white oversize mesh top with a pair of light shorts and a pink messenger bag to create a light and springlike color palette.To shake things up a bit, I opted for a pair of comfy purple heeled Zara sandals as opposed to flat shoes and a pair aldo sunnies.

BEACH KIMONOS

Happy new month everyone. Seeing as I didn't get up to much street style documentation last month, I've decided to dedicate this month's first post to my summer obsession, Kimonos. Kimonos are this summer's ultimate staple whether your out seeing a movie on dry land or getting wet on a beach on vacation, kimonos are a must have.
