2 SKIRTS 2 LOOKS [ PART 2]

Hi guyz, as promised here is the 2nd look. The only difference between the first look and this look is the red quilted leather mini skirt. A change as simple as a mini skirt turned the whole ensemble from ladylike to playful and casual in a heartbeat...Which one of these two looks do you all prefer?

2 SKIRTS, 2 LOOKS [ PART 1]

Hello everyone! It's interesting the difference a simple article of clothing can make to an entire look. So I decided to share this experiment with you all in two parts. I decided to pair  my cropped jumper with two different skirts to achieve two completely different looks. The first look would be simple youthful and flirty and the other look would be interesting, unusual and ladylike. This turned out to be the more ladylike, unusual look. I had been waiting for the right look to transform my animal print wrap dress into something different and Voila! I transformed my wrap dress into a wrap skirt. The animal print wrap dress is easily my favourite addittion to my closet from summer. I selected it from a bespoke designer's  private collection and I was stoked because from the second I saw it, I knew the possibilities were endless and turns out I was right.

KATE SPADE- NEW YORK FASHION WEEK FALL 2014

As you all may have noticed from my last post I've been feeling like colour these past couple days and seeing the Kate spade fall 2014 collection 7 days ago didn't do much to help the colour fever! It was such a breath of fresh air and a lavish and unapologetic burst of colurs and prints. The collection still had a significant infusion of neutrals but I was all about the colours and prints. What are your thoughts?

HAPPY 1ST ANNIVERSARY

Happy Anniversary to Sapphire Brushstrokes! It's kinda crazy to think that it's been a whole year since I started this journey. Iam soo indebted to God for the opportunity and blessing to channel my passion and to have come this far  and I am even more excited to see where this journey takes me. I would really like to thank everyone who has followed my blog this past year, whether you joined me on this journey at the beginning or hopped on along the way. With over 22,000 views I feel soo blessed to have your redearship and I would like to thank all of my wonderful blogger friends who this blog has brought me, Paola and Elle to name a few . It's been a pleasure responding to your comments and following your blogs too. 

.I would like to thank my darling C, who travelled in at the very last minute to avert the crisis, of loosing a photographer and took these shots of me. You've been super supportive and you've just been the best throughout this journey and I am more grateful than I can say. And of course to my Dimdim, super critic and secret fan (yes you love this blog, it's like your foster kid) Thank you for everything! We both know there isn't nearly enough space to talk about how big a part of this journey you've been.Finally to my siblings and all my amazing friends a.ka.Sapphire Brushstroke's Fan pack, you guyz have been great and I'm soo blessed to have all your support and I love you lot a lot!

NEW YORK FASHION WEEK - BCBGMAXAZRIA

Hello everyone! For those of you who do not know, the Mercedes benz Fall 2014 New York fashion week commenced on the 6th of February. The fall 2014 NYFW will run through the 13th, giving way to the London fashion week which I am very excited about. Now back to the guyz on the otherside of the pond. BCBGMAXAZRIA who celebrated their 25th anniversary was one of the first brands to take the catwalk on the 6th. Fur, uneven hemlines, animal prints and black were key features of BCBG's fall collection.

HAIR INSPIRATION

I tend to keep it quite plain and simple with my hair  and it's not because I don't love experimenting with a variety of looks, it's largely because I am incredibly lazy with my hair. Honestly if I had a resolution  this year, it'd be to pay more attention to my hair. So I went seeking for inspiration for my next look or series of looks, do I  Cut it, braid it, change the colour, whatever! I am ready for some kind of change and I wonder what look I'll eventually settle for. Whatever it is, i'm pretty sure you guyz would be the first to find out!
